Administrative Data for Official Statistics

This presentation examines what is administrative data, its prime characteristics, the benefits and drawbacks to using administrative data and how to determine whether to use administrative data rather than surveys. It was presented at a CARICOM Secretariat training workshop on National Accounts compilation with support from the EU under the 10th European Development Fund (EDF).
