The International Investment Position: A Guide to Data Sources has been prepared to assist national compilers in the development of international investment position statistics. The primary audience for this guide is those countries not currently producing an IIP statement as well as those producing partial IIP statements. The major focus of the guide is to give practical advice on existing data sources that could readily be used to build an IIP statement within a relatively short time. It is, however, our hope that the guide will provide a useful source of reference to all countries compiling IIP statements.
