This Seminar took place under the chairmanship of the Head of Eurostat Unit D1 (Mr de Geuser). Representatives of 17 countries of the European Economic Area (EEA) attended together with officials of Eurostat Units D1, D2 and E2. Practical arrangements for the Seminar were made by the Eurogramme Company in association with the National Statistical Institute of Italy (ISTAT).
The purpose of the Seminar was to provide an opportunity for EEA countries to meet together and with Eurostat to exchange information about the current situations at national and European levels concerning the use of administrative sources for purposes of making business statistics.
