This presentation provides information on the process of matching records in two files which represent identical persons, objects or events-record linkage. This exercise is becoming more common with the increased use of administrative data. The presentation looks at probabilistic rand deterministic record linkages, business survey record linkage and the preparation of files prior to matching. It was presented at a Caribbean Community (CARICOM) regional workshop under the Project for the Regional Advancement of Statistics in the Caribbean (PRASC), funded by the Government of Canada.
