Course Description
This course is focused on infographics and how to create them. Infographics present 5-6 data points on a specific topic (not necessarily a survey) to quickly communicate a message and help people, business owners, academics, media and officials of all levels understand key information derived from the data. The self-paced course provides a step-by-step guide to creating effective Infographics that attracts the reader’s interest and possibly gets them to read the related complete data report.
Participants also use Canva to create infographics as a hands-on exercise.

3. Know the steps towards developing your infographic
4. Understand the Do’s and Don’ts of good Infographics
5. Write a descriptive script for an Infographic
6. Create infographics as a visual product to support a national statistical office’s activities and programs and engage with the public.

Defines an Infographic and describes the essential elements for an effective infographic

This section provides a step-by-step guide to creating effective Infographics that make data easily understandable at first glance

Section 3: The Do's and Dont's of Infographics - Good and Bad examples
Understand good practices and techniques for designing and producing effective Infographics

Section 4: Visual design using Canva
This section goes through the fundamentals of designing with Canva and includes a hands-on exercise of designing an Infographic

- Familiarity with statistical analysis, data visualization and use of graphics
