Environmental Statistics for CARICOM
Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the unit the student should be able to:
2.1 Estimate using simple random sampling means, proportions and totals for spatial environmental data.
2.2 Use stratified and systematic sampling methods for spatial environmental data.
2.3 Explain the significance of discrete and continuous distributions to environmental studies.
2.4 Describe uses of regression analysis, factorial analysis of variance and generalized linear models in environmental statistical issues.
2.5 Interpret the Complimentary Log log regression coefficients
2.6 Distinguish among observational, experimental and quasi-experimental studies; design based and model-based inference; tests of significance and confidence intervals.
